In honor of Independence Day, this morning we took Jack out to the beach at the lake. We went early to avoid the hottest part of the day. It took us about 15 minutes to get ready and walk down to the beach and about another 15-20 minutes to get back and cleaned up. We were at the beach for about 10 minutes total. It was worth it though. At first, Jack did not know what to make of the sand, but we showed him how he could play with it and he soon became a pro sand player. He also loved splashing his hands at the edge of the lake.
