19 weeks and 1 day

On Wednesday, June 10, at 19 weeks and 1 day, we had our "big" ultrasound. It was a wonderful experience and best of all, the baby is doing great! The ultrasound took about 25 minutes total, and the technician was excellent about letting us know what she was seeing and measuring and explaining how our baby's anatomy seemed normal. We even got to count fingers and toes and they are all there! We got these great pictures of the Peanut.

This is his/her face. Looks kind of like an alien from Close Encounters of the Third Kind. Check out the big eyes. Freaky!

This photo shows his/her profile. You can see the nose and mouth if you look closely.

And finally, this one shows one of the feet. So tiny!

We opted not to find out the gender. I think we both want it to be a surprise, kind of like opening a present at Christmas.
